Support North Carolina Producers
NC Choices Hog Producer Program
Connecting Farmers with Consumers
NC Choices is funded by a three-year, $600,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and aims to address the barriers farmers face in producing and marketing livestock products while growing consumer demand for locally produced pork.
The initiative is a partnership of North Carolina State University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and several sustainable agriculture groups (Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, Rural Advancement Foundation International, American Livestock Breeds Conservancy) and environmental groups (North Carolina Sierra Club, Environmental Defense, Southern Environmental Law Center, Neuse River Foundation, North Carolina Coastal Federation, Sustainable North Carolina).
