Debbie Roos Named Carolina Farm Stewardship Association Agent of the Year

Debbie Roos, Chatham County agricultural agent, received the Agent of the Year Award for North Carolina Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education Programs from Carolina Farm Stewardship Association. Roos is recognized nationally for her work promoting small farms and healthy farm ecosystems and for her award-winning Web site, Growing Small Farms. Carolina Farm Stewardship Association serves both North and South Carolina in its efforts to promote sustainable agriculture practices

Paul Mueller to Receive NCSU CALS-CNR Award for Service to Environment and Society

On October 22, 2007 Paul Mueller receive the distinguished NCSU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences - College of Natural Resources Award for Service to Environment and Society during the Borlaug Lecture.

This award is given to a tenure-track faculty member from any of NC State's colleges, jointly by the deans of CALS and CNR.  This prestigious award will recognize exemplary service to Environment and Society through any mechanism(s) of scholarly work.
