The Center for Environmental Farming Systems' 2000-acre Research Farm is located at Cherry Research Farm in Goldsboro, N.C. The property is owned by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS). CEFS research units at the farm include the Pasture-Based Beef Unit, the Pasture-Based Dairy Unit, the Alternative Swine Production Unit, the Organic Research Unit, the Farming Systems Research Unit and the Small Farm Unit.
