The Center for Environmental Farming Systems' Research Farm is located at the Cherry Farm Facility in Goldsboro, N.C. The property is owned by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS). CEFS research units at the farm include the Pasture-Based Beef Unit, the Pasture-Based Dairy Unit, the Pasture-Based Meat Goat Unit, the Alternative Swine Production Unit, the Organic Research Unit, the Farming Systems Research Unit and the Small Farm Unit.
Meetings and workshops take place at the facility's O'Berry Center and Cherry Conference Center. To get to the Cherry Conference Center, follow the directions to the Small Farm Unit; the Cherry Conference Center is across the street.
